Tune in to HillzFM 98.6 for the best global sounds and local information.\r\n“Hillz FM provides a culturally diverse and accessible community radio service celebrating local voices and global rhythms, empowering the local community, raising local aspirations and increasing community cohesion.\r\nWe broadcast to the local community – Hillfields, Coventry and beyond all week to bring you an entertaining and informative local focus. With specialist music shows and world languages.\r\nThe station first broadcast from the WATCH centre in June 2005, when a four week Restricted Service Licence (RSL) was obtained. This created tremendous local enthusiasm and excitement showing the potential for a community radio station. Two further RSL took place before the station was awarded a community radio licence in June 2009. This expired in June 2014 and we then received a new 5 year license up to 2019 from OFCOM.\r\nThrough the Station, we have undertaken numerous community and youth work projects and helped train people in Radio Production who have never been on radio before. This has led on to people moving into radio education, radio jobs and other media based vocations.\r\nGet involved via the website, ‘Listen Again’ to shows that you have missed or particularly enjoyed, message the presenters, get a ‘shout-out’ along with your favourite tune played live on air – it’s YOUR radio station, so join in the fun!
